Miss Kris’ passion for childcare and preschool teaching began as a teenager when she volunteered at her neighborhood church’s nursery. While earning her Child Development degree, Kris worked as an intern at the Butte College Child Development center. After receiving her degree, Miss Kris began teaching at the SJB Child Development Center.
The strong passion she has for her job is obvious as she works with the children in her classroom. One only must watch the reactions she gets from the students around her and witness their progress, to understand what an incredible teacher Miss Kris is.
Through her hard work and dedication, Miss Kris has become an invaluable member of the Learning Pathways staff.
Miss Kris is the oldest sibling of three and a first-generation college graduate. As a person who feels she is “never done learning”, Kris has decided to continually enroll in various child development courses to become an even better teacher, not just for herself but for the children in her care.
Kris is very close with her family and sees them as often as possible. In her free time, she enjoys watching movies with her cat or swimming.
