Beginning at the age of 18, Mr. Wes began working in the childcare field. After having majored in Kinesiology with emphasis in Physical Education, Mr. Wes returned to college to earn his remaining required Early Childhood Education units.
Early in his career, Mr. Wes was employed as a Recreation Supervisor for the City of San Jose Parks and Recreation Division, overseeing two elementary school programs and one teen center. He later became a director for a large childcare center in the city of Elk Grove.
In 2012, Mr. Wes and his wife, Michelle (Learning Pathways’ office administrator) moved to the Los Angeles area and became adoring parents to a beautiful little girl. There, Mr. Wes was hired as a Director at the local YMCA, overseeing three Physical Education/After School programs serving children 4 -12 years of age.
In 2014, Miss Diane recruited her son, Mr. Wes, from his YMCA job in Los Angeles, asking him to create and run a new physical education program specifically designed and suited for preschool and kindergarten age children. We call this incredibly fun and beneficial program “Pathways to Fitness and Coordination”, or PFC.
In addition to implementing our PFC program, Mr. Wes is also the Executive Director for Learning Pathways Preschool and Kindergarten.
