Miss Julia was born in Oaxaca, Mexico. As a young woman in Oaxaca, she studied and graduated as a preschool teacher. Miss Julia worked in the Teachers Association of Oaxaca from 1981-1987.
In 1987, she came to San Jose, attended San Jose City College and earned her Child Development Certificate.
For three years, Miss Julia worked as a substitute teacher with the Alum Rock School District and, for the following three years, she worked in Special Education.
In 1995, Miss Julia began working at the Head Start Program of Santa Clara County, where she met Miss Diane (the future founder of Learning Pathways).
In 2013, Miss Diane invited Miss Julia to join the Learning Pathways family. In addition to becoming one of our most valued teachers, Miss Julia has also developed a fun and lively Spanish language curriculum geared specifically toward the children that attend Learning Pathways.
With a genuine love for her job, Miss Julia thoroughly enjoys working with the children in her classroom and throughout our school. She is a teacher and human being beyond compare.
