Miss Sam (Samantha) has known she wanted to be a teacher since she was 5 years old, inspired by her own amazing kindergarten teacher. After graduating from San José State University, she set out to begin her career in education. Sam had intended to interview at an elementary school, but by accident ended up interviewing at a preschool instead. It turned out to be the happiest accident, because that’s where she discovered just how much she loves teaching preschoolers. Since then, Miss Sam has continued her education through additional coursework, including earning her Site Supervisor Permit.
Miss Sam’s favorite part of teaching is getting to know each child and their family, and working together to help little learners explore, create, and grow into their unique selves.
Outside the classroom, Sam enjoys hiking with friends and family, whale watching (she loves orcas!), discovering the best matcha and milk teas, and expanding her Pokémon card collection.
Miss Sam's high energy and her love for children makes her a perfect fit at Learning Pathways.
